Weissenborn - 50 Advanced Studies, Op. 8 Vol. II
I decided to create a clean version of these studies for use in my teaching because students often had confusion over the way that these are printed in the older editions available on IMSLP. While I encourage students to purchase newer editions for their excellent editing and valuable commentary, sometimes the price is a deterrent. So, I decided that being 140+ years old, but fully retaining their instructional and educational value - these studies deserve a clean edition offered at no cost.
I prepared these in three different sizes to give bassoonists more choices depending on how they prefer read these studies. If you intend to print them out, note that they have been prepared to function optimally as booklets, which is why the number of pages are multiples of four. I formatted them for booklet printing on 12 x 18 size paper, so if you print as a booklet on 11 x 17 (or as individual 8.5 x 11 sheets) make sure to click "Fit" or "Shrink oversized pages" or the music will be cut off. Note that that this will reduce the size of the music by about 10% overall. If you prefer a printed version, but printing is prohibitively difficult or expensive, please contact me to request a print copy.
